Krone in the U.K. market is handled by exactly the same team that handles all the Amazone enquiries, even though the two companies are entirely separate in Germany. In 1997 Amazone Limited commenced the importation of Krone equipment.

This was a strategic alliance between the two companies as Amazone specialises in arable equipment and Krone in foraging technology and this alliance was made additionally easier by the fact that the two companies are both family owned, are only 30 minutes drive apart and both families have known each other for many years.

Krone is also Europe's second largest manufacturer of truck trailers and semi-trailers today. At the Werlte plant in the Emsland region with an area of 180,000 m², 650 Krone employees produce 19,000 vehicle units per year.

The product line includes semi-trailers, linkage systems, trailers and motor vehicle bodies. Since April 2000 Krone produced approximately 2200 cooler units per year at the plant in Denmark (headquarters of Bernard Krone A/S), making the company also Europe's second largest manufacturer of refrigerated semi-trailers.
